As an “At Large” member of the School Board, I will not support establishing Charter Schools in Fairfax County.
Because the FCPS provides excellent K-12 education, Charter Schools is “a solution in search of a problem” in Fairfax County. If someone can present a convincing business case for Charter Schools in Fairfax County that asssures adequate state and federal funding for state and federal mandates placed on local public education, I will reconsider my position.
